Fundació Privada ASCAMM is a design and industrial production technology centre and a reference in Europe with respect to the generation of proprietary technology. ASCAMM is a research-based market-oriented institution devoted t knowledge-based technologies, unmanned systems, positioning and navigation, manufacturing processes and production technologies, new materials and product development.

The Ascamm Technologic Center was created in 1987 by the Catalan Association of Mould and Die Companies, and since 1997 is an independent entity with the legal form of private, non-profit. Located in the Vallès Technological Park, Ascamm covers 11.000 m2 and has about 165 employees, mostly technicians.

The Ascamm Foundation provides support for the creation of new technology-based companies (EBTs), with differentiating elements, such as:

• The development of innovating products/process
• Technological mentoring
• Assessment in:
  • Product-Market Analysis
  • Development of company plans
• Exploiting of positive-scale economies
• Use of capital relating to the actual Technology Centre in favour of the project
